Office of the State Controller Releases November Financial Report

For Fiscal Year 2026, when compared to the prior year through November 30, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $427.2 million or 3.4 percent, and non-tax revenues decreased by $58.0 million, or 8.7 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of November 2025 was $1.7 billion as compared to $2.1 billion as of November 2024.

For Fiscal Year 2026, when compared to the prior year through October 31, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $737.1 million or 7.1 percent, and non-tax revenues decreased by $37.9 million, or 6.8 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of October 2025 was $2.7 billion as compared to $2.3 billion as of October 2024.

For Fiscal Year 2026, when compared to the prior year through September 30, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $320.2 million or 4.0 percent, and non-tax revenues decreased by $28.2 million, or 6.3 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of September 2025 was $2.8 billion as compared to $3.2 billion as of September 2024.
